South East region TUC are promoting a day of action against the cuts on Saturday January 15th, which we will be supporting locally.

Here in Ilford on this day, we plan to set up a a street stall on the High Road betwen 12-2pm to

inform people about what is happening generally
set out the possible effects of the cuts locally
invite people to get involved in a broad campaign to defend vital services by pressurising their councillors and MPs
promote the national TUC RALLY AGAINST THE CUTS ON MARCH 26, offering the chance for people across the nation to come together to reject the idea that swingeing cuts now are the only option
update residents on the situation as regards And E at King Geoge Hospital, which could close from next Spring
